The author is an atheist, raised as a Methodist, married twice in a church, purely for social reasons. Of course, now divorced from the second wife, and not really caring that, according to some scripture, I have sinned. That's in a book that has so many contradictory utterings, that no one should regard it as pure, consistent thought or history in any form.

In Sunday's Ottawa Citizen, of February 1st., 2009, was this advertisement. A wide variety of subjects for the lectures. One, in particular, seems totally loopy, likely to be read by a stand-up comic, although almost certainly set in seriousness, and is, naturally, set for Friday the 13th.:
